Our work dwells in the realm of metamorphology.  This conceptual and material discourse explores the ways cultural frames impact our understanding of nature.  Each project responds to situational variables with anomalous beauty that frames the challenges of transformation.
Over the past 30 years we’ve created numerous public artworks.  Planning, ephemeral works, sculptural suspensions, sound and light effects, landmarks and amenities are part of the palette. Sites include public parks, transit centers, libraries, schools, streetscapes and plazas in North America and Europe.  Our work has received several awards and is included in many public and private collections.
Our studio practice is an extension of placemaking concerns developed in the realm of public art.  Each studio project is approached with site (whether it's canvas, metal or multimedia) as a place of cultural expression surrounding environmental issues. The bio-philosophical intersections underpinning this dialog are realized as material investigations of layered metaphor.
