ELEMENTAL
Elemental is a series of environmental paintings conceptually based on a metaphoric overlay of elemental/seasonal/climatic interstices. Employing an approach that combines gestural performance with weathered materiality, each group of paintings offer an emotive slice of life. As an abstract cinematic moment, the American landscape is conveyed as reified experience. Call it a reflection on quandaries of the Anthropocene.
